ADS OF THE DAY: Victoria & Albert Museum
Lovely long copy campaign for the V&A written by an old copywriting colleague of mine, Charles Hendley.
We worked together at Wilsons in Manchester in 1981 before both being fired.
(It happened a lot there, 68 creatives once in one year.)
A few years later, we met up again in London, me working at Ogilvy & Mather Direct, Charles at Saatchi & Saatchi.
From there he went on to Bartle Bogle Hegarty and at both agencies picked up a hatful of D&ADs.
Top writer and a great bloke.
This campaign was D&AD Wood Pencil winner in the Cross-Track Poster category in 1990.
